On the subject of Animals

I was shocked yesterday while listening to a public radio channel on April 26th while I was driving home early... about 1pm. They were actually interviewing a guy who wrote a report for the government who actually said in not so many words... that we are on a road to destroy the world and that one of the issue IS that we don't classify ourselves as animals. He went on to note all of the ways we ARE animals and how our behaviors are the same as any animal which finds a new area to live in where they can be the dominate species. That species then goes on to over re-produce which in the end consumes all of the resources leading to the groups death / disbandment. After this he went on to detail how a number of civilizations fell in the past due to this type of behavior. Once finished he went over where current events vs the historic pattern and where we will end up and the event that will get us there... w/o any specific time line. More of an event line which he found to be repeated over time. In closing he didn't have an answer. He is spending his time trying to bring light to the issue. It's a BIG issue which needs to be addressed before we continue so far down the current path that we will end up like PAST civilizations... just another thing of the past.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/animal

Why do humans place themselves separate from all other life on this planet?
Note number 2

Animal
–noun
1. any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth, can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally, and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli: some classification schemes also include protozoa and certain other single-celled eukaryotes that have motility and animal like nutritional modes.
2. any such living thing other than a human being.
3. a mammal, as opposed to a fish, bird, etc.
4. the physical, sensual, or carnal nature of human beings; animality: the animal in every person.

This separation from all other life is killing the planet. All animals and really all life is connected in a balance. It seems the universe has a knack for keeping everything in balance. The way things are going we seem to be pushing thing out of balance all the time to make us happy during our short existences. At some point something will happen to bring thing back into balance. I have a feeling when this happens the definition of Animal will be one of the many things adjusted if our species still exits.

Yea a little dark I know but, come on. Look around at what we are doing. How we are living. Now think about it. Whats the logical end if things keep going along this same course.

It's late, I'll rail against the many groups I see pushing us down this road in future posts.

In the beginning

I have heard a few stories over the years about where we came from. The most common ones being...

God created the universe
The big bang theory

I tend to go with the second one more... I don't believe there is a god or multiple gods.
The question that comes to mind next is ... okay a big bang... but, where did it all come from in order to create the big bang? This is where many turn to me and say... God created the gases that caused the big bang. Did I tell you I don't believe in god yet? So, where did it all come from? For me ... really I don't think it really matters. At this point in time I am here, now. At some point in the future I will no longer be here. What happened long long long before anyone can recall.. It doesn't really matter to me.

With that said... lets think about it. There was something here. In some form... My mind wanders for a bit... then focus again. Black holes... They suck in all forms of energy. Physical and non-physical, light for example. So, over time there are these spots in the universe sucking everything in and they don't seem to be going away. They spew out some energy back into the universe but, for the most part. They seem to just suck it all in. Like most things being compressed into a small space. I wonder if at some point there will be a limit to how much they can suck in. I mean to say. One day the universe will be full of black holes. There won't be much else left. What will happen if say a few of them collide. All of that energy occupying a tiny point in space. I imagine it would be too much in one point at a time and explode much like too much energy in any container. I imaging this is the "big bang" which formed our universe. It would explain why we see all matter expanding outwards away from a sort of center. Also, why there appears to be only darkness beyond. The area beyond is filled with massive black holes just waiting for that extra bit of energy to send them over there limit to create another galaxy.

I like this idea. It makes me happy in my life. Just like believing there is a God makes others happy in there existence. I am quite content in my belief that the universe is just this massive area filled with energy getting sucked into tiny spaces until it explodes back out again in a constant oscillation between expanding and contracting forces.
